About Me

Personal

I have decided to approach life my own way. My main hobbies are glassblowing, Yoga, books, computers, and Go.

Professional

From a very early age I have worked professionally and academically with computers in many capacities. I have done hardware assembly and install, I have done client software development, I have done server maintenance programming, I have done web programming. I have worked for both big companies and small. Currently, I work as a programmer for Ticket Turtle, a company with a ticketing solution for local theatre that can help change the way a small theatre exists.

Interspersed with my work with computers, I have gotten a Philosophy degree, taught English as a foreign language, and done various other things. I'm currently pursuing an Engineering degree because I think the most important problem over the next fifty years is energy generation. I am looking to eventually work in this industry and know I am capable of learning to produce more than I consume despite my comparatively new and incredibly consumptive hobby of molding molten glass.

Eventually, this site will contain a resume. In a way, this site is a resume- it's an expression of how I like to do things. Elegance as an extension of competence, and hopefully some style thrown in. It's certainly not perfect, but I have attempted to make it so.
